Full Spectrum CBD Oil contains a wide range of natural cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and other alkaloids, promoting the entourage effect.

Hemp contains a rich variety of compounds, most notably THC, CBD and CBG. In lesser quantities, other cannabinoids such as CBC, CBDv and THCv can be found, with more cannabinoids being discovered regularly. Until now, close to 200 individual cannabinoids have been discovered.

Dr. Ethan Russo, one of the world’s leading cannabis researchers, has proposed the entourage effect. In his article ‘Taming THC’, Dr. Russo explains how the entourage effect addresses the biphasic response curve, solving one of the most pressing issues in a therapeutic setting: namely how to establish the correct dosage.

This entourage effect has been observed and replicated in other studies, and is viewed as one of the cornerstones of cannabis therapeutic science.

Legal THC limits

Our Full Spectrum CBD Oil is crafted to maximise the entourage effect, all while remaining within the legal limits of THC concentration.

European countries are split between allowing 0,2% THC, or none at all. The Netherlands has a unique position allowing 0,05% maximum THC.

Since 2021, the EU has restored the maximum level of THC on the field to 0,3% THC.

The legal situation of THC and CBD in Europe has been confused, with different interpretations by different member states.

Cold pressed CBD oil

Cold pressing can be used to infuse CBD into oil. Hemp must be washed directly after harvest, mixed with oil and pressed. The machinery is a scaled up version of a slow vegetable juicer. Cold pressed CBD oils have a nutty flavour. Cold pressed CBD oil is typically lower in concentration.

Extraction method

Winterized CO2 Extract

Our Full Spectrum CBD oil is formulated from winterized raw CO2 extracts, blended with a base carrier oil. There are several stages to the process. The first stage is CO2 extraction, followed by dewaxing, dewatering and finally blending and homogenization. Supercritical CO2 extraction uses carbon dioxide as a solvent under high pressure and low temperatures. This removes the cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and plant waxes from the hemp biomass, forming a thick green/brown paste. After purification and winterization (removal of unwanted waxes), as well as removal of excess water, the extract is prepared for blending.

The quality of an extract is determined by the quality of the biomass that is used. Drying conditions should be ideal.

Full spectrum CBD oil, before further purification, typically has a bitter taste, with a peppery after effect. Depending on filtration techniques used, chlorophyll may darken the oil. Naturally, cannabinoids are present in their acidic form (CBDa vs CBD) before they are decarboxylated. We offer both raw and decarboxylated products.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between full spectrum and broad spectrum?

When a full spectrum CBD extract is winterized and purified, some of the THC is removed and also some of the acidic cannabinoids decarboxylate. It still retains a lot of cannabinoids and terpenes but it’s not technically a full spectrum extract. We call this a broad-spectrum extract.

What type of CBD gummies do you sell?

Can you add vitamins, minerals or herbal supplements to gummies?

For orders over 5,000 units, we can develop gummies with any additives you require. Please be aware that this may incur some product development costs to ensure your additive blends well and is also stable.

What is the difference between white label and private label?

White label is when you use one of our pre-existing tried and tested products. We provide the label & packaging templates and you provide the design. You will receive a finished product that has your logo and branding on it. This gives you quick entry to market with minimal investment.

Private label allows you more creativity. You may choose to have a custom blend that is uniquely formulated for you with other added ingredients or flavours. Private label can also give you more flexibility regarding the label design and outer packaging. For private label you can use different containers and bottles, and have custom made outer packaging with various print embellishments.
