Broad Spectrum CBD distillates are purified hemp extracts. They can be made in different ways, most commonly via short path distillation. THC is remediated or completely removed. CBD distillates are popular because they manage the THC percentage, are more clean and pure compared to crude extracts, but do maintain some of the spectrum of cannabinoids that is needed to achieve the entourage effect.
Cannabinoids In Broad Spectrum Extract
Although not all laboratories test for the same suite of cannabinoids, a typical CoA will list most of the following cannabinoids: CBD, CBDa, CBC, CBCA, CBDV, CBG, CBN, CBE, CBT, CBNV and CBGa.
Additionally, a CoA should calculate the total CBD content (adding CBD+CBDa) and the total THC content (adding THC+THCa).
Total CBD is important for commercial purposes, and total THC must be carefully monitored to comply with regulations.
Broad Spectrum vs Full Spectrum
Full spectrum CBD extracts naturally contain THC. These extracts are of therapeutic interest but strictly regulated. CBD operators often need to remediate THC levels to comply with (inter)national regulation.
Tolerated amounts of THC vary from country to country, from 0% to 0,3%. In the Netherlands, a limit of 0,05% THC is enforced on CBD products.
After the THC has been remediated, the extract should now be referred to as ‘broad spectrum’.
The most common broad spectrum distillates have their THC content remediated to 0,2% or lower, and contain a total amount of CBD between 70% and 90%. As both input material and subsequent processes can vary, a wide range of different broad spectrum CBD extracts is available to make products with.
Crystal Resistant Distillate is a common type of broad spectrum extract used to create vape products. High % CBD is needed to maximize the limited available space on a device, and regular extracts will have some of the CBD crystallize when subjected to low temperatures. CBD Distillate is now the most popular option for creating CBD Oils that contain minor cannabinoids and terpenes while complying with the Zero THC requirements in many European countries.

When a full spectrum CBD extract is winterized and purified, some of the THC is removed and also some of the acidic cannabinoids decarboxylate. It still retains a lot of cannabinoids and terpenes but it’s not technically a full spectrum extract. We call this a broad-spectrum extract.

For orders over 5,000 units, we can develop gummies with any additives you require. Please be aware that this may incur some product development costs to ensure your additive blends well and is also stable.
White label is when you use one of our pre-existing tried and tested products. We provide the label & packaging templates and you provide the design. You will receive a finished product that has your logo and branding on it. This gives you quick entry to market with minimal investment.
Private label allows you more creativity. You may choose to have a custom blend that is uniquely formulated for you with other added ingredients or flavours. Private label can also give you more flexibility regarding the label design and outer packaging. For private label you can use different containers and bottles, and have custom made outer packaging with various print embellishments.
